Ledson Pollux9+ Gen 3 with strobe light
Pollux9+ Generation 3 is an LED auxiliary light with pulse-controlled power boost from Ledson, developed to provide very high light intensity, long range and flexible light control in varying driving conditions. With an output of 120 W and pulse-controlled power boost function, strong performance is combined with adjustable light intensity when the need is greatest. The robust design is developed for long-term use in demanding environments and maintained performance over time.
Pulse-controlled power boost
Pollux9+ Generation 3 Strobe is equipped with Ledson power boost, an extra power mode that provides maximum brightness when needed. The mode is easily activated via the high beam lever, allowing quick adjustment of the auxiliary light output. The new generation of power boost is controlled via the light switch (the high beam lever strobees) according to the steps specified in the instructions. The product is delivered in E-approved mode and activation of the power boost mode is done according to the accompanying instructions.
TIR reflectors
Pollux9+ Generation 3 uses TIR (Total Inner Reflection) reflectors, which means that all light is effectively reflected and directed before it leaves the reflector. Spill light, i.e. light that would otherwise leave the luminaire unfocused and without any real benefit, is minimised. Unlike traditional reflectors, which only direct most of the light, Pollux9+ utilises TIR technology to maximise the usable light.
Selectable beam pattern: Driving or spot
Pollux9+ Generation 3 is available with two different beam patterns. The driving beam version provides a balanced beam pattern that complements the vehicle's regular headlights. The spot beam version provides a more concentrated beam of light that effectively illuminates the road far ahead of the vehicle.
strobe light
The auxiliary light offers five different strobe light patterns that can be synchronised between Pollux9+ Generation 3 units. The units can be connected so that the same strobe light pattern is synchronised across all connected auxiliary lights, or divided into two groups for alternating strobe light patterns.
Mounting on the vehicle
Pollux9+ Generation 3 can be mounted discreetly and securely with a number plate holder or tube bracket. Available accessories offer several mounting options. For connection, we recommend Ledson Connect 12 V or DT relay set 24 V with original connection to the vehicle. This allows the auxiliary light to be controlled via a separate button (optional, item number 7801009) or connected to the high beam so that the auxiliary light automatically turns on and off with the high beam. The solution includes a fuse between the auxiliary light and the battery to protect the battery and other equipment. When using XBB, it can be connected directly to the Connect. Detailed installation instructions are included with the DT relay.
As a complementary accessory, there is a quick connector for the relay set with ready-made connectors, which allows installation without damaging the car's original wiring and without the need for a power tap, for quick and easy installation.
Features
The product is E-marked with reference numbers 37.5 for driving beam and 50 for spot beam and is approved according to ECE R112, R10 and R7 (white Position light). Pollux9+ Generation 3 is equipped with pulse-controlled power boost and is EMC-approved to avoid interference with radio reception. Five different approved strobe patterns are available, one of which is ECE R65 approved. The auxiliary light has a position light with four LEDs that can be switched to either yellow-orange or xenon white, depending on the desired design. The beam pattern is available as "driving beam" (33491238) or "spot beam" (33491239).
The range for driving beam is 407 m at 1 lux and 659 m at 1 lux in power boost mode. For spot beam, the range is 493 m at 1 lux and 805 m at 1 lux in power boost mode. The light intensity is 4200 theoretical lumens and 3500 actual lumens, while power boost provides 13000 theoretical lumens and 10500 actual lumens. The colour temperature is 5000 K (neutral white). The optics are based on the TIR (Total Inner Reflection) system and the auxiliary light is equipped with a pressure equalisation membrane. The warranty period is 36 months.
Technical data
Pollux9+ Generation 3 has a power output of 120 W (12 x 10 W LED) and 4 x 3 W LED for strobe light, with a nominal power output of 92.4 W. The product has an IP68 and IP69K enclosure rating for water and dust resistance. DT connector (6-pin) included. The auxiliary light is equipped with electronic heat management and can be used at a voltage of 9–36 V. Power consumption is 3.2 A at 12 V and 1.6 A at 24 V. In power boost mode, the load is 9.8 A at 12 V and 4.6 A at 24 V.
Dimensions and weight
Pollux9+ Generation 3 has a width of 218 mm, a height of 234.5 mm including the bracket, and a depth of 68.5 mm. It weighs 1.9 kg and the cable length is 650 mm.
Included
The delivery includes Ledson Pollux9+ Generation 3 LED auxiliary light, bolts and screws for mounting with one or two mounting points, DT connector (6-pin) intended to be supplemented with Ledson Connect, and installation instructions.
Installation instructions for cables
The cables are colour-coded as follows: red cable for auxiliary light (+), black cable for auxiliary light/Position light (- ground), white cable for position light (+) white light, yellow cable for position light (+) yellow-orange light, green cable for strobe light (+), blue cable for synchronisation and pattern (+) and brown cable for alternating function (+).
strobe light patterns
Available strobe light patterns are single strobe (ECE R65 approved), double strobe, triple strobe, quadruple strobe and continuous hyper strobe.
Please note
The DT connector must not be cut, as this increases the risk of moisture damage and will invalidate the warranty.
